Index Server watches your volumes and keeps a set of independent add-ons ("analysers") up to date about every file that changes, each deciding for itself what's worth remembering.

For full-text search, FullTextAnalyser and MailAnalyser feed anything BTranslatorRoster can turn into plain text - documents, mail, and whatever future translators you install can read - into a index, searchable nearly instant through the bundled Index Search window with real query syntax (phrases, wildcards, fuzzy matching, AND/OR/NOT).

Other analysers write plain BFS attributes that Tracker already understands: EXIF camera and date info, audio tags, media codec/duration/resolution, and automatically generated thumbnails for every image and vector icon - so files get a real preview instead of a generic file-type icon.

Each analyser can be enabled or disabled independently from the included settings preflet, which also configures which paths get indexed at all (blacklist or whitelist).
